Vito Dieterle

After attending the prestigious New School Jazz program and freelancing around NYC, Vito began to perform weekly with his band every Sunday at Little Branch starting in early 2005 and soon went on to curate a 5-day a week live music program for the venue, which immediately went on to critical acclaim and exists to this day. He has now gone onto curate festivals and venues in New York and abroad. He is now a proud partner at Midnight Blue in the iconic Gramercy area of Manhattan where he performs regularly and curates the music programming.

Being an accomplished saxophonist, his intimate connection to the music helped to shape the bars he has worked in and owned, leading to a dedicated clientele and fan base. As a performer and long time member of Ethan Lipton & his Orchestra since 2005, Vito has performed regularly at Joe’s Pub, Barbes, Rockwood Music Hall and countless venues in the states and abroad. He is a recipient of a Village Voice Obie Award and is a Lucille Lortel award nominee.
